Privacy Policy

CleanRoll never uploads your photos or videos.

CleanRoll is designed to help you review your photo library privately and intentionally.

CleanRoll accesses your photo library only with your permission.

Photos and videos are processed entirely on-device. CleanRoll does not upload your photos or videos to external servers.

CleanRoll's Smart Scan features — similarity detection, duplicate grouping, and blur scoring — run locally on your device. No photo or video content is sent anywhere for analysis.

Scan results are stored only on your device and are not uploaded.

CleanRoll stores app settings, review progress, daily free action counts, and purchase state locally on your device — using Apple-provided local storage APIs.

This data stays on your device. Deleting the app may remove it.

CleanRoll does not require account creation.

CleanRoll uses Apple's StoreKit for in-app purchases. All payment handling is done by Apple. CleanRoll does not collect or store your payment card information.

The amount and currency of a completed purchase are reported for advertising measurement, described below. No receipt, transaction identifier, or payment details are included.

Analytics are off by default. Nothing is collected or sent unless you turn on "Share optional usage analytics" in Settings, and while it is off the analytics service never starts.

When enabled, CleanRoll sends limited app-use events — such as a cleanup session starting and finishing, the paywall being viewed, and the outcome of a purchase attempt — to TelemetryDeck. Counts travel as coarse ranges rather than exact figures, alongside a pseudonymous hashed device identifier, app version, device model, iOS version, and language region.

Analytics never include your photos, videos, thumbnails, filenames, album names, photo coordinates, photo identifiers, your name, or your email, and purchase events sent here carry no receipt, transaction identifier, or payment details.

You can turn analytics off at any time. Events already sent are retained by TelemetryDeck under their policy — switching off stops future collection but does not delete what was already sent. To request deletion, email us at the address below.

CleanRoll shows no ads. This section is about measuring whether people who install CleanRoll arrived from one of our own ads elsewhere.

This measurement is not controlled by the analytics switch above. Turning that switch off does not turn this off. We would rather say so plainly than let you find out: attribution that counted only the people who opted in would measure almost nobody, so it is not gated on that switch.

CleanRoll includes the core Facebook SDK from Meta Platforms. Only the measurement component is included — no Facebook login, no sharing, no ad display. It receives a device identifier, the fact that the app was installed and opened, and, if you buy the one-time unlock, the amount and currency of that purchase. It never receives your photos, videos, thumbnails, filenames, album names, photo coordinates, photo identifiers, your name, or your email.

CleanRoll does not show Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt and does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA). Without that permission the SDK runs in a limited mode and does not link your activity to you across other apps or websites. Install measurement runs through Apple's SKAdNetwork, which reports results in aggregate rather than per person.

CleanRoll does not sell personal data, does not build audience profiles, and does not retarget you.

If you contact us by email, we may receive your email address and message. This information is used only to respond or send relevant updates about CleanRoll. We do not share it with third parties.

CleanRoll is not directed specifically at children. The app is intended as a general photo library utility.
